An Interview With David Soulsby

Tell us a bit about yourself. What would you like us to know about you?

I retired at 60 and launched into short-stories but gradually became dis-enchanted by constant rejection of my offerings by competition editors. So decided "If you can't beat 'em Join 'em" and published my own magazine 'Libbon' which showcases new writing talents.

I am going to finish this interview at a second session

What are you doing now? (Career? Married? Single? Children? Pets?)

I am married with 5 children and 8 grand children and frequently have to hang up the sign "Writing in Progress" to avoid constant requests for baby-sitting.
I am editing and publishing Libbon magazine.

What is your favourite food?

Fish and Chips

What is your favourite colour?

Blue

What is your favourite sound?

The sound of the ball hitting the opposition's net at Chelsea Football Club.

Who is your favourite person?

Stan Lee the creator of Marvel comics and such wonderful characters as Spiderman, The X-Men and Fantastic Four.

What is your favourite place?

Iguassu Falls Argentina

What is your favourite memory?

Chelsea FC winning the FA Cup in 1970

What is your favourite article of clothing?

I haven't really got one, clothing is just utilitarian; to keep you warm and dry and cover up your"naughty bits".
