Tell us a bit about yourself. What would you like us to know about you?

After a long career as a CFO for a huge corporation I retired. From a hobby of writing I then made it a full time occupation. I have successfully had two novels published, a short story, poetry and several articles.

side from a good story well written? Luck!
The current publishing world is a manipulative one that is not truly fair to any new authors.
Much good talent is missed. The trend is to promote best sellers that the publishers select and the stores carry. Such a shame the public is so unaware of this practice.

The first was about one year ( from notes of twenty years)
The second about four months. ( actual writing)Then of course it never stops there.

What would you do differently if you could repeat the same publishing experience?

Nothing.

What have you learned about the publishing world?

It is a highly controlled by a handful of big ones. Very competitive. Very manipulative in how it treats authors and how it forces the book chains purchases of their selections. Like most industries it is about "Money."

This is your chance to 'Talk Back' to your readers. What would you like to say to them?

I keep a page for my readers to send me questions and comments. I answer most by email and some questions that are repeated are answered on my "Authors Answers."
www.annelebrecht.com

What's the one thing that you want them to know about your writing?

That it is a fast read and one that should be enjoyable to all. Should provoke a curiosity about some things and answers to others. Novels that are written with the intention to make the reader enjoy reading. I hope they then want to read another book of mine and many other authors.
